A Fancy Dinner In
I have been working up a storm. I have a store now, and I work nights sometimes for extra money, so my honey and I have had fewer meals together than we used to. So we decided, based on a bottle of wine that his parents gave us for Christmas, to plan a romantic dinner in, for two.
we made tortillas from scratch, and roasted pork to go onto them. spicy tacos! yum. for dessert we had raspberry brownies.
and we dressed in our finest.

Burger at Le Pigeon
My shop/studio is right across the street from award winning restaurant Le Pigeon. My shopmate and I went and had a burger there and were blown away. I guess they only make 5 a night, so get there early. I love the presentation as well, the wooden plate, the knife thru the center...
yummmmm.

elimination
so, as a lover of food, I was a little distressed when my naturopath recommended that I go on the anti inflammatory diet for 3-6 weeks.
I am now on the 10th day, and finding that there are still wonderful things I can eat.
however, I haven't been taking as many pictures, I suppose there is still something missing, that flaky crust, the smelly cheese, the perfectly cooked egg....
this photo is of a peach pie I made last month for a new years day dinner when my boyfriend's parents came up to visit. it was everything a good pie should be: flaky, sweet, melting, and so comforting....
